Glossary of Terms
Definitions of common terms and features used across Rose Companions. If you are new to the platform, this is a good place to start.
A
Active Profile
A profile with approved status and an active subscription. Active profiles are visible on public city, suburb, and service pages.
Available Now
A real-time indicator that a provider is currently online and accepting enquiries. Providers toggle this from their dashboard, and it appears as a badge on profile cards and in a dedicated slider on city and suburb pages.

Boost
An optional paid add-on that moves a profile higher in search results and city listings for a set duration (24 hours, 3 days, or 7 days). Boosts are stackable and activate immediately.

City Page
A dedicated page listing all active profiles in a specific metro area. City pages include filters for suburb, price, service, age, look, and availability. Example: the Brisbane city page shows all profiles across the Brisbane metro.

Free access to platform features granted by an administrator, typically for promotional or onboarding purposes. Complimentary periods function like an active subscription without billing.
Contact Click
A tracked interaction when a user clicks a provider's phone number, email, or website link on their profile. Contact clicks are recorded in the provider's analytics dashboard.
D
Deactivated Profile
A profile belonging to an account that has been permanently deleted. Deactivation removes the profile from all public listings and deletes associated data.
Draft Profile
The initial state of a newly created profile. Draft profiles are not visible publicly and can be edited freely before being submitted for review.
F
Featured Profile
A profile with an optional featured placement that adds a visual badge and prioritises the profile in listings. Featured placements are available at suburb, city, or homepage level for 7, 14, or 30 day periods.

Incall
A booking arrangement where the client visits the provider at their location. Providers who offer incall bookings typically note this on their profile.

Metro Page
Another name for a city page. Metro pages group profiles across a metropolitan area including all its suburbs.
O
Outcall
A booking arrangement where the provider travels to the client's location. Providers who offer outcall bookings typically note this on their profile, sometimes with geographic limits or travel fees.
P
Paused Profile
A profile that has been temporarily hidden from public listings by the provider. Pausing keeps the subscription active and all profile data intact. The provider can resume visibility at any time with one click.

A measure of how thoroughly a provider has filled out their profile. Profiles with photos, a bio, pricing, service tags, and location details tend to perform better in listings and generate more enquiries.
Profile Name
The public-facing display name shown on a provider's listing. This is separate from the provider's real name, which is stored privately for internal and compliance purposes only.
R
Real Name
The legal name collected during account registration. Real names are stored for internal account, billing, and compliance purposes and are never shown publicly on the platform.
S
Seed Profile
A placeholder or demonstration profile used during the platform's launch phase. Seed profiles may appear in listings to demonstrate the browsing experience but do not represent real advertisers.
Service Tag
A label that providers add to their profiles to describe what they offer. Tags like massage, couples, BDSM, and digital connect profiles to filtered searches and dedicated service pages.

A dedicated page for a specific suburb showing profiles in that area plus nearby suburbs. Suburb pages include filters, SEO content, and links to adjacent areas for expanded browsing.

Touring
When a provider visits a city they do not normally live in. Providers set touring dates from their dashboard, and their profile appears in the destination city's listings during the visit period.
